Nick Laird of Ipswich examines his model yacht in between races held at Redd's Pond in Marblehead. Model Yacht racing has been gong on at Redd's Pond for years. Many people used the Marblehead Class boats, which are now imitated internationally. About 10 years ago, John Snow of Marblehead brought back the old Marblehead Class out of retirement and now many people race those, called "Vintage Marbleheads."
