Salem News Student-Athlete Nominee Peter Hale, Swampscott High School. Hale, a three-season runner for the Big Blue, has competed in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track. Hale won the New Balance Emerging Elites 2-mile race this past winter and has ran against some of the best runners in New England while at Swampscott.
