Principal Thomas Cornacchio is happy that the West Memorial School is winning an award from defense department. The "Seven Seals Award" is seldom given to schools. Dave Nicholson, a member of the National Guard, wrote to the defense department holding up the West School as extraordinarily patriot, teaching about patriotism, the Gettysburg Address, the pledge of allegiance and lowering flag for fallen soldiers.
