Ban of wood and charcoal-fueled fire pits in Salem

A gas-fueled fire pit is being used at the Salem Waterfront Hotel's Regatta Pub restaurant in Salem. The Salem City Council is considering a ban on fire pits that use wood and charcoal, after a business downtown floated the idea of a gas-burning pit.
