A new life for a historic Danvers train station

A senior class at Danvers High School has been working on a senior project this year to preserve the Plains Train Station, built in 1868, as part of Project Citizen by taking wood from the station and turning it into tables that would be in the high school and other city buildings as a way to remember the station's history.
